Inside Outside

A Sunday at home with the girls inside and the boys outside....

Please can we go outside too? I am looking forward to Spring...Heidi will be walking by then which will be wonderful. Too cold outside at the moment to be crawling around in the wet grass and mud. Especially as she has just recovered from a month long cold made worse by 3 top teeth coming through at once!

Smiley Heidi

Heidi has always been such a happy baby..so easy going, very happy to please. (Night time is another story!) Nothing seems to trouble her , she can entertain herself for quite some time. This was a particularly happy day....she had me all to herself while been was at creche.

I could (and do) watch her for hours. I want her to stay like this forever but at the same time I can't wait to see how she grows into a little girl....I am hoping she will have a life as happy as today and holds onto that happy and positive outlook she already has.

Aquarium

The day started out beautifully....they are really starting to play together....even if its just in short bursts. It makes my heart melt seeing them share and Ben showing Heidi his toys.


We were wondering if Heidi would be too young to enjoy the Aquarium...but she just loved it...especially getting up close to the glass.


Ben loved the stingrays..


Heidi is all over Ben in the pram...Ben usually gets over this very quickly but he was distracted by the city views so Heidi could keep her arm around him.



Perfect outing for a cold winters day...

Trains

Ben is just totally obsessed with trains...he just loves his Thomas the Tank Engine trains and track. His love of trains really started when we took him on the gorgeous Puffing Billy with my parents in March earlier this year.

I love this photo. One of the most beautiful things of having children is the absolute joy it brings to my parents.

We had a lovely picnic at Emerald lake before the return trip home..reminds me of my childhood. Mum and Dad would take us on Sundays drives to the countryside for picnics by a lake, often with my Grandma...she would give a treats of plain salted potato chips and turkish delight! Then we would have a lemonade icy poles and mum and dad would have eskimo pies!


.......so I thought I would venture for a short train trip to the Parkdale library; all of 3 stops! But this was the perfect length of time really. He was just fascinated.

and he just loved the library. The kids computer is fantastic...amazing how they know what to do.

Heidi wanted some of the action...

Crawling to standing....

Heidi at 9 months has started to crawl and is speeding along....she is so happy with herself. Once she gets her speed up she starts squealing in delight. She only did the commando crawl for a few weeks whereas Ben used it as his perferred method for months! When I ask Ben to teach Heidi how to crawl he says "No no no" when she gets up on her knees and crawls; he tries to teach her the commando crawl...so funny and interesting.

....and before we know it she is standing!! and again so happy with herself...and her tongue always out!

Melbourne City Visit

Heidi was very patient waiting in the pram...but she can't wait to get out and run around too.

Winter Walks

Even though its been so cold I have been trying to get out in the fresh air as much as possible. Ben just loves the outdoors. Mum, Ben, Heidi and I had a lovely afternoon in the city, playing with the beautiful autumn leaves.

The new pram has been excellent...thankyou ebay! Ben and Heidi just love sitting next to each other and spend most of their ride holding hands...and a little squabbling over the pram toys.

A moment of pure joy. Could they be any happier?

This is Ben's new running style. I couldn't work out where it came from until Mum reminded me that thats how Dad runs with him.
